About Veriterra Lab

How we can help

Veriterra Lab was created to support farmers, gardeners, landscapers and compost producers in implementing soil regenerative practices with soil biology in focus.

Restoring and nurturing soil microbial community help growers achieve healthy plant production without costly chemical inputs, reduce water usage and restore ecological functions of soil.

Using regular microscope assessments of soil biology will eliminate guesswork and guide you on this exciting journey of bringing your soil back to life!

Our lab performs Soil Biology Assessments in accordance with the methodology developed by Dr. Elaine Ingham, world-renown soil biologist.

Our reports contain detailed explanation of the data that helps you understand processes happening in your soil and  possible reasons of imbalances. (see examples 1 and 2

We are committed to provide the most accurate results by assessing samples as soon as they arrive and constantly improving identification skills.

Vera Dorzhinova next to her compost pile

Hi, I’m Vera Dorzhinova

I used to work in IT. Several years ago I found myself extremely concerned about climate change and environmental pollution, and wanted to take action. I tried myself in zero waste and plastic free projects but I wasn’t passionate enough about what I was doing. In the end of 2019 I found out about permaculture, regenerative ag and absolutely fell in love with the soil-ution to almost all the world’s problems. Soon I discovered Dr.Elaine’s Soil Food Web School and enrolled in their classes in April 2020.

In 2021 I became a Certified SFW Lab Tech. Currently I am in the SFW School Consultant Training Program learning how to make biologically complete compost, teas, extracts and turn degraded soils into thriving fertile ecosystems.

This work brings me a lot of joy and I will be excited to see your soil under a microscope!
